The famous German motor cars manufacturer BMW has made a new motor car model using carbon fiber.BMW had to work on many stages to create this car which is stronger than the steel. "Carbon fiber technology will fundamentally change the motor cars industry, becoming increasingly important in the quest for lighter-weight materials to reduce fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions," the company says in a statement.
BMW has made colorless fiber jointly with Mitsubishi rayon of Japan. In a 200 meter-long plant of Moses Lake, United States the fiber are pulled in reels and burnt at a temperature of 1,400 Celsius (2,550 Fahrenheit). Then carbon atoms were separated from it and the fiber got black color and unique strength. The remaining stuffs are all about filaments having width of one-tenth of a human hair. A bundle of 50,000 of them can lift almost a ton of weight. Then the threads were woven into mat in Wakersdorf in southern Germany.
To create three-dimensional body the mats are cut into layered, put under a vacuum in resin and cured at about 100 Celsius (212 Fahrenheit) which is harder than steel for 50% of the weight. Then the new model BMW is assembled in BMW's Leipzig plant.
But BMW authority didn’t clear when the most desired Carbon Fiber Car would be marketed.

Future Toyota Motor Cars
Japanese motor cars manufacturer Toyota has recently created a motor car that actually a mixture of Smartphone, game machine, and the car. The authority has shown the design of the car names 'Toyota Fun 7' in The Tokyo Motor Show 2011 . Even in the car, you can change the color of real time.
The car has 3 seats of it’s 13 feet length. A blank slate Has been used as interior and exterior design. The driver will be able to change the color of the car according to the environment in real time. Wireless technology of smart phone applications will be used to change the color the car and it’ll be changed by holographic motor cars technology.
In addition, this Toyota car will have the 'navigation concierge ' a woman of holographic technology who will assist the driver to drive or to communicate with others.

End of Tire Puncture
The world's largest tire and rubber company Bridgestone recently developed a new tire, so that there will be no air in the tire and no puncture fear.
The Bridgestone’s new tire was shown at the Tokyo Auto Show in Japan. Although still in experimental stage, Bridgestone authorities have claimed success in creating new tire.
Thermoplastic resin spoke has been used for this tire which will move with rims to tire and will turn left to right easily. So Bridgestone authority expects that the age of flat tire is over. The engineers of Bridgestone said they will take more experiment on this new technology before marketing.
It’s said, the tire will be made of such materials that is very able to recycle.
Note that, air free tire concept was first negotiated at 2006. Another of the famous tire manufacturers’ Michelin was awarded Intermet gold medals for the ‘Airless Tweel Tire ' in 2006.

THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS - A "flying car" with three wheels up to 180 km / h on land and in the air was tested for the first time successfully in the Netherlands, announced Tuesday its Dutch manufacturer.
"The first flight of the prototype PAL-V was successfully conducted on a Dutch military base last month," said Robert Dingemanse to AFP, the director of the company PAL-V, installed in Raamsdonksveer in eastern the country.
The successful test flight was confirmed to AFP by the Delft University and the National Aerospace Laboratory, who developed the device in collaboration with engineers from the company PAL-V.
The autonomy of the PAL-V (Personal Air and Land Vehicle), a two-seat gyroplane (machine rotor, similar to a helicopter), is 1200 kilometers on land and 500 km in the air.Its blades can be folded when the craft is on the ground.
The PAL-V, which can fly at an altitude of 1200 meters, should be marketed in 2014 for a price between 250,000 and 300,000 euros ($ 330,000 and $ 400,000), according to Robert Dingemanse.
"What also makes it unique is the fact that it meets government standards for both routes in the air and on the road," he says. "There is therefore no need for new infrastructure."
The PAL will not, however, to escape the gridlock: they must leap of 165 meters to take off, needs a runway to land 30 meters and can be controlled only from an airport or fieldAviation.
"Before the trip through the skies was based on public transportation," stated Jacco Hoekstra, Dean of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of Delft University. "It will become much more personal."
Other companies have embarked on the development of flying cars, including the American Terrafugia. Moller International, also American, developing a personal aircraft for vertical takeoff and landing.

In December 2011, the government introduced new measures that significantly amends the calculation of the benefit in kind company car. The new formula takes into account the 'catalog value'.
As a reminder:
catalog value is the invoice value, options and VAT, net of rebates, discounts, price reductions and rebates
the new formula is: percentage of catalog value x CO2 x 6/7

The text is currently assumed that the same formula applies to used cars. So for second hand cars as well, the employer must be based on the original invoice for the value catalog.
However, these new provisions could have the unintended consequences the government. Thus, companies, why not, individuals might be tempted to sell cars for a new invoice price less and receive a lesser benefit in kind. Revenue for the Treasury could be affected.
The Minister thus sought to fill this gap in legislation. How? By decreasing the value of second hand vehicles through a mechanism established. It is expected that the value of vehicles decreased by 6% per year.
A question now arises concerning the amount to be used for the calculation and how this new provision will be enforced. Currently, no specific legislation has yet been written on the subject.
On its website, the Minister Vanackere indicates that this measure is intended to establish the benefit of any kind for used vehicles. The formula adopted in late 2011 and described above should not be changed.

The Road to "clean cars"?
This week, automotive fueling discussions on CO2 emissions. ADEME has published its list of cars that emit less carbon dioxide, whereas under the 2004 Climate Action Plan, energy labeling is mandatory for new vehicles. These efforts for better consumer information be enough to cause behavioral changes in drivers?
ADEME publishes its list of cars that emit less CO2
Through the voices of Michèle Pappalardo, its President, the Environment Agency and Energy Management (ADEME) presented May 9 its list of new cars sold on French territory under their CO2 emissions, one of the greenhouse gas emissions which contribute most to climate change. With an average of 152 grams of CO2 emitted per kilometer, these emissions have decreased by an average of one gram in one year.
Performance of diesel vehicles in this area have not progressed this year, while petrol cars have reduced their average emissions of 3 g / km. The media never fail to point out that French manufacturers, including Renault and PSA, monopolizing 10 of 12 first places in the diesel category, dominated by the smart fortwo (90g/km) to the Citroen C2 (107 g / km). The best and worst models for gasoline puts his hand in before the Toyota Prius, which remains the least polluting in CO2 emissions of 104 g / km, before the Citroën C1, Peugeot 107, Toyota Aygo and Daihatsu Cuore (109 g / km).

Changes observed in the ranking of ADEME, average decrease of one gram of CO2 per kilometer in particular, are also certainly positive but ultimately somewhat inconsistent. Sales of large 4x4 on the French market rose, like those mini-MPV, larger and heavier than urban, and therefore more consumers and emitters of greenhouse gases. A new tax will be applied for the registration papers of the most polluting vehicles from 1 July 2006, also based on CO2 emissions. This new initiative for the cleanest cars comes with a tax credit of € 2000 to 2009 provided the new owners of vehicles labeled A, B and C categories of the least polluting new energy label. This credit will rise to € 3,000 if they eliminated a car registered before 1997.
Change our behavior remains essential
If we can despite these reservations only welcome the initiatives outlined above, it is the changing behavior of drivers who must focus. Give priority to public transport, pool its travel with others, limit the use of the indoor climate, drive more slowly, remove galleries when they are not useful ... These small efforts, within reach of all, allow both to achieve significant financial savings, and consistently reduce our ecological footprint.
